On May 20, 2025, The Philippine Sports Commission held a press conference to officially announce the Batang Pinoy 2025 inside Rizal Memorial Sports Complex’s Conference Hall in Malate, Manila.
The stage is set for the preparation of this year’s edition of Batang Pinoy on October 25-31, 2025 at the “Tuna Capital of the Philippines”, General Santos City and is expected to draw around 15,000 athletes nationwide.
PSC Chairman Richard E. Bachmann, with Project Director Dindin R. Urquiaga and the Technical Working Group, proudly showcased the new branding of the agency’s premiere grassroots program for Filipino youth.
The TWG also emphasized their effort to innovate the processes of the agency for this year’s edition of the national multi-sport event.
This year’s Batang Pinoy will feature 27 sports: aquatics-swimming, archery, arnis, athletics, badminton, basketball (3×3), boxing, chess, cycling, dancesport, futsal, gymnastics, jiu jitsu, judo, kickboxing, karate, muay, pencak silat, sepak takraw, soft tennis, tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, wushu.
General Santos City Mayor Lorelie G. Pacquiao expressed full support in hosting the national multi-sport event.
